Compositional Elements + Photos
Diagonal Lines
Diagonal lines make a photo look more real, and more pronounced. It captures the imager’s attention and view. Diagonal lines also give photos depth and the imager looks through the photo intercepting interesting parts. It also gives the photo a sense of action.

Texture
Texture can be defined as “the feel of an object's surface." This is an example of the way in which we often assume texture is something which must be physically felt in order to understand it. Texture is something which we feel when we interact with our surroundings. But, our understanding of texture is not limited to touch. Texture can be "felt" with our eyes also.
I think that these photos represent Texture because when you look at this wall and the tree, it seems like you can touch them and feel them with your hands.

Compositional photoshop exercise
For my compositional photo I chose Canadian actor/writer Paul Gross. For changing the background, first I created a new layer, background copy, and then I used the magnetic lasso tool to outline the figure, and after I outlined I copied it, and then got a new background, and then I pasted it into a different background. After I did that, the figure was too big for the background picture, so I scaled it down to fit. I chose the desert background for Paul Gross was because I figured he wouldn’t be in that particular place.
